The atmosphere was curiously subdued for a game between North Dakota and Denver, especially considering North Dakota’s rabid fan base, which again was well-represented.

North Dakota has been at the top of the national rankings and the NCHC for most of the season, something no one seemed to tell Minnesota-Duluth.
The league’s top four teams advanced to the championship weekend via sweeps.
The Huskies were 2-12-3 in late November but have won 18 of 21 to get into contention for an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament.
The pairings are set for 2016 conference championship weekend in the six Division I men’s conferences.
