TAMPA, Fla. — Northeastern’s Devon Levi is the first player to repeat as winner of the Mike Richter Award as top goalie in Division I men’s hockey.
The award was announced Friday at a ceremony on the day between Frozen Four semifinals and the championship game.
Levi leads the nation in save percentage (.933) and is 13th with a 2.24 goals-against average during his junior season. He signed with the Buffalo Sabres after Northeastern’s season ended and he made his NHL debut in a 3-2 overtime victory against the New York Rangers on March 31.
Quinnipiac sophomore Yaniv Perets and Michigan Tech senior Blake Pietila were the other finalists from a vote conducted in the week leading up to the conference championship games.
The award was first presented in 2014.
